Federal Stimulus Funding

The Wheatland-Chili Central School District has been allocated approximately $2.7 million in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) and Governor's Emergency Education Relief (GEER) funds through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES), Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) and American Rescue Plan (ARP) acts. The federal funding can be used to support several non-recurring expenses associated with needs brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds must be allocated and used over a three-year time period.

The District held a public hearing on June 2, 2021 to gather input on the distribution of funding and sought public comments through June 10, 2021.

Below is an archive of documents related to the funding, including applications, budget proposals and expense reports submitted to the New York State Education Department (NYSED), as well as materials from the initial public hearing and subsequent presentations on spending.

Thank you for the valuable input that we received and your ongoing support and willingness to engage with the District as we work through the creation and implementation of these plans.
